9/7/2006Benton is a great place to live IF you are retiring or have children and desire a more simple down to earth lifestyle. The job market here is terrible thats the down side of southern IL.

Benton in nice for retired couples. -
7/1/2006Benton is a small rural town. for the most part it is friendly, morally sound and crime and housing cost are low. Alot of people who live here are retired. The negative part is the economy. Jobs are few and pay is minimum even with a degree. Advancement is almost impossible.
