6/26/2015Where would you move instead? We have young kids, ages 7 and 9, and would like a warmer climate with more culture close to the coast or mountains. Education is high on our priority list, so good public or private schools are important. We currently live near Madison, WI however we are tired of hibernating 6+ months out of the year. We enjoy keeping busy therefore a larger metropolitan area may be a better fit unless there are very active smaller cities in the southeast. We are considering North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. I feel certain that I would agree with everything Labrador Retriever said. I lived in SoCal and loved it, however my husband's job is requiring him to move to the southeast.
