Sugar Land, TX

Not A Good City - 1/18/2010
For anyone considering moving to Sugar Land, TX, visist here several times watch the news here and get reports on crime from police department. Sugar Land has high crime, alot of foreigners, alot of traffic, really not that friendly, the homes are cheap because they are built cheap, the HOAs suck, you have no land, you pay for every service, if you go into the stores everything is in both english and spanish so get use to feel like you're living in mexico. Overall it isn't that safe of a city and not a good place to raise a family, I have lived all over the country and this is the worst city and state I have lived in.

Can you tell me what you think are far better choices for a relocating family? Anywhere else you move in the U.S. is going to have bugs and be humid in the summer unless you live in the desert. I have lived in CA and they have bugs. So I am curious as where are the better areas than Knoxville, I was think of relocating my family there. ANy info would be appreciated.

Sugar Land, TX

Not As Safe As Has Been Stated - 1/15/2010
Moved here with my wife and son because of a job opportunity and now regretting it bigtime. Sugar Land is part of the Houston metro and the entire area just plain sucks. There are way too many people, the traffic is some of the worse I have ever seen, there are too many people from different countries which makes you feel like you're not even living in America at times. One of the biggest reasons not to move here besides the illegal mexicans, is because of the amount of crime here. Everyday it is on the news stations, in the paper, you hear the police sirens, Houston ( and the metro area in general) does not have a particular "bad" section, it is ALL over. If you are planning on moving here, seriously rethink it and consider other places first. They try to hype the area hee as safe and family oriented but it is not.
