What can I say? I live on the Central Oregon Coast in Depoe Bay, OR. I run an old (immaculately clean) 1930 Village Inn and brought it back to life after almost three years of the Inn being completely dead and closed. I'm on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce and also am one of the founders of a Non Profit organization called Treasure Depoe Bay. I'm on the Board of Directors for this as well. Quality of LIfe - 5/10/2008
Individuals that live in Depoe Bay are used to a certain quality of life. Attitude is a huge factor. Here in Depoe Bay, the suits and briefcases of a large portion of the communities' former life doesn't exist here. It's a casual laid back atmosphere - and the town is brimming with artists of all backgrouds: musicians, painters, sculptures, iron works, glass blowing. Some of the people in Depoe Bay are past (or current) movie stars, liking the anonymous life they have found in Depoe Bay and the surrounding area. The ocean is right outside our front door, nature and beauty is everywhere. Customer Service and hospitality are the "key" when visitors come to town.
