A good place for families and older people. -
11/7/2022I have lived in AF from the fifth grade, and I am now 67. I have always found AF to be an enjoyable place to live. It has all the small town attributes that remind a person of the 1950s. It is an excellent place for retired people with some resources to retire. Everything you need is close by and easy to walk or bike to. It is not so good for young singles looking for love or night-life.
The town is getting new businesses and folks are moving in. There is a housing shortage and old houses are overpriced. Schools are so, so with lots of Hispanic kids. There are a lot of Hispanics living here, thank heavens. Great people with a good work ethic. The economy is guttural.
Pocatello is only twenty minutes away and has all the big box stores and traffic. If you are looking for a place to live as you grow older, I would come to AF. There are plenty of ways to contribute to the community, and we have an excellent library, if that is what you like. Also, excellent internet service.
