Crestline, CA
Not paradise anymore -
6/11/2021Lived here for a few years. It has its good like nice views, an awesome grocery store (goodwins) and some great food places like tony's. However, my experience living in this city has not been great the entire time. There are homeless people who camp and live in the forest. There are a lot and I do mean A LOT of run down homes as well as vacant homes. The traffic to get up the mountain in winter time can be as long as 2 hours during the winter months because of tourists. On sundays there is always traffic going down the mountain and on the weekends there is always people coming up. People that dont know how to properly drive on the mountain and this results in angry locals driving aggressively and lots of accidents on the mountain roads.
The best and the worst part of living in crestline are the people. There are some really great people up here but... there are also some really shady people. Lots of the residents here are on meth. Lots of the people here are ghetto and have houses that are very run down and broken down cars are in many many drive ways. There's also a lot of people who party or drive with really loud music without concern for other residents within the city.
Its been a nice experience but sadly, Crestline is now a little San Bernardino in the mountains. Law enforcement is rarely around so pretty much anything goes.
