Vidor, TX
Hot, humid, and hurricane-prone -
9/21/2008This is a small, blue-collar town where many residents are employed by the oil industry. It's sub-tropical, so it's very green here most of the time, but unfortunately, it's right on the Gulf Coast, so we have to deal with frequent hurricanes. The beautiful trees keep getting wiped out every few years, taking away the one thing this area has going for it. We're sick of the heat, the bugs, and hurricanes, so we're looking to relocate.

9/21/2008This is a blue-collar town where a lot of the population is employed by the oil refineries. The town doesn't have much to offer except for some good, friendly people and a sub-tropical climate that makes it very green and lush. Unfortunately, it's also right on the Gulf coast, so we just weathered our second major hurricane in 3 years, so it's a little less green than before. It's too hot and humid here for my family, so we're looking to relocate somewhere where there are fewer bugs and hurricanes!
