St. George, UT

re: Do your homework
- 5/6/2017
I would like to agree with some points. My husband grew up here and I moved here after graduate school. Jobs are low paying, in fact St George was rank the second lowest wages in the US last year. My husband decided to work in a trade over a desk job because the pay was better. He is very fair in his pricing but has seen others gouge seniors and California transplants. There are some honest good guys but certainly don't trust someone if they have a picture of a family and talk about their faith in an ad, do your homework.
Im not LDS, my husband was, we have had good and bad because of this. If we didn't have kids, I doubt anyone would care. There are parents who don't want their kids to play or associate outside of school with non-lds kids. There is also a group of LDS parents who are upset when they see this happen. I just tell my kids to be good kids and be an example and if someone doesn't like you because you don't attend the ward then they probably aren't good friend material. The city is slowly I mean slowly getting more stuff to do but very little is for youth, outside of sports or music lessons. The city keeps voting down family projects like an ice rink or hollywood connection or much needed retail. Small retail business and resturants fail or cant even get off the ground because of high rents. The schools are also going downhill, even the "in" area has drugs and issues the district hides.
