Denver Colorado is so garbage go to texas - 9/25/2020
Right-Wingers? Please, I gladly left Denver 3-years ago back to Los Angeles because I thought everyone in Denver was a total Dumb Ass. So there's also the reverse.

The man is right. I was in Denver between 2016-2017 for work and left as soon as I could to go where? (*GUESS*) Back to Southern California of all places. There was something about the people that lived in Denver that really rubbed me the wrong way. They're not chill, they're just likely judgemental looking for drugs or something.

I'll also add that the further you venture outside the city the creepier it is. It's like being in Boise or Salt Lake City or something "AW HELL, WE DON'T TAKE TOO KINDLY.." Blah, blah, blah. HICKS!!!

"DRRRRR" - Me like Mountains, Orange Man Bad, Hard Drugs OK, Hard Drinking Good, Subaru is a Must. The latest reviews prove that Denver is (culturally) fabricated by HICKS and about to hit the fan. Enjoy!

Austin, TX

Hopeful but Still a Bit Overrated - 7/9/2020
I'm pretty torn about Austin. On one hand, people are casually polite and courteous but on the other hand fairly stuck up for no reason. However, bar and restaurant staff are really friendly for the most part - and that makes a huge difference compared to where I used to live which was the opposite (Denver).

It's definitely fairly easy to live here with access to tons of bars and live music venues. Food here is OK but not terribly exciting. Food Trucks seem to be the core of good eating for the most part.

I'm also definitely extremely impressed by the quality of health care at hospitals, specialists, and whatnot. Nobody seems to talk about that. Facilities are really clean and straightforward as well (even during COVID-19).

As for the other people who live here: a little too snobbish & aloof for my tastes. People are really cliquey and it's tough to meet friends overall. I think the worst part are some of the management people that run apartment complexes. That has really taken a toll on my experience here. They're just a bunch of panhandling liars who want to suck up cash from people with it from NYC or California.

Dating here hasn't been particularly impressive and fairly hard - and without any good reason either. Just many cliquey & boring white women who are plain, picky and strange. Something is just off with dating here, even though it could be paradise if they stopped being so rigid and weird.

The weather is hot for a substantial part of the year - but you'll also see freezing cold and windy days. You'll also witness a quite a few days during the spring where you'll constantly have to monitor potential Tornado Warnings. Sometimes in the middle of the night. As for the heat, it's easy to get used to it as long as you stay out of the sun.

Overall I think Austin has potential, but it's particularly boring & especially now that everything is shut down again. There really isn't a whole lot to do at the moment except sit in the A/C or go out for a walk or ride a bike. That's not really cutting it for me at the moment.

Fargo, ND

Totally Underrated. - 4/10/2020
People here are really friendly, educated, and down to earth. The bars are fun, bar staff are also really attentive. Downtown is gorgeous for the most part & Gourmet eating in downtown is fantastic for the value. The only problem is it's so freaking cold most of the year.

Shut up.

Austin, TX

This City is for LOSERS - 2/18/2020
Been here 6 to 7 months and already planning on moving back to the West Coast.

The biggest turnoffs have been apartment and condo associations who lie through their teeth (especially CA transplants like myself) just to make a buck. Although it's cheaper than the coasts, so does management going along with it (ignoring maintenance calls for bugs and not taking ownership for regular defects). It's stressful and would be illegal in California - but then again it's Texas so they can get away with it I guess.

Other than that - Other mainline things are harder to get in Austin than CA like access to good Mechanics and Doctors. Dating here is also freaking stupid too. Most of the Women here have their head shoved so far up their a** you'd think it be Miami or something (EG: Bumble is *Crickets*).

Traffic is also dumb with ridiculous lane and road closures and people driving big trucks and cutting people off. Heck, even the Postal Workers lack accountability here. The only pro I can say is that the service industry and food is pretty good. Cost of Living isn't a total rip off either (EG: Denver is Worse with way more White Trash).

Bottom Line: People are indirect, not friendly, immoral, judgemental and stupidly liberal (all at the same time). I'll be elsewhere by the summer, but wish I gave more of an independent start into trying DFW or Houston as they both seem like bigger and better choices. I'll even take L.A. again over Austin and pay rent until I'm 40 over this place. The mental backlog of living here is just taxing and stressful - the people here are just not very nice AT ALL. Even the students near the UT campus where I live seem to be selfish pricks.

The only places I found to be more depressed in were Denver and NYC area, but maybe I'm a weird breed. Either way, this city is going to Hell fast and most people can tell you that who live here I'm sure.
