So typical... a post proclaiming good ole southern charm devolving into an anti-yankee rant! We've "lived" in 'Spraleigh' now for 11 years... and will leave the day our youngest graduates high school. The natural scenery here is positive (other than the related allergies), as are the mild winters. The job market here is strong if not diverse, and the relative price of housing is reasonable (although rents are very high generally). Also there are some good museums and greenways/parks. Other than the above positives though... the people here are generally rude, crude and uneducated (despite having degrees mostly from UNC (WAY overrated and ranked based on OUT OF STATE admission), NCSU (good in Engineering), ECU & NCCU (terrible schools academically)... and hate yankees and anyone else not like them.
