CLIMATE - 11/30/2014
Even though this area has 4 distinct seasons they are not extreme compared to areas in the Midwest and East. I explain to people from out of the area that our elevation (about 4000 feet) contributes to snowfall in the winter but normally moderate amounts here on the valley floor compared to copious amounts in the mountains adjoining the valley. Temperatures are seldom below 10 degrees in the winter and above 100 degrees in the summer. To me it is a very comfortable climate.
