I Liked living In Hollywood -
3/5/2012I enjoyed living here , although there were some negatives and positives. Negatives were, Rents are rediculously HIGH,, Not many jobs at all most of Hollywood is residential , Not too many options when it comes to employment, Real Estate was the best area to work in for awhile , But that buble bursted and is having a hard time to recover, In stores like Sedanos and Bravo expect to be ignored if you are not hispanic, I am usually a very friendly but if the cashier doesn't even look in your direction while ringing you up, I tell them , arent you suppose to greet your customers. Traffic to Miami Is crazy, The roads are ok can get a little confusing sometime when a road ends and you need to find it again, But not too bad cause they usually just go north South east and west unlike New england. Positives were the beach, the parks (many have miniture water parks in them) The Church Segadores de Vida , at the moment located corner of Taft and 441. Preaching is in spanish, but they have head phones, But the Message is from God, The Spirit of God is Alive and well and there are many people who are giving up their own life to do Gods Will In this church, I live in Orlando Now and I find it much more affordable the people are much nicer here But just like in South Florida its not that easy to find a job although there are a lot of Jobs here in Orlando You just need to be well qualified...And I am in another

3/5/2012I don't agree , I found the people very nice, The rent prices Good , Better than other places I lived, Mass, Rhode Island, and south florida. Its Fun, Beautifull weather all year long, I love the winter weather, Summer really hot but good for pool, beach water parks. If you like those boring places you mentioned thats fine its your style. Orlando is my style. God Bless Orlando and the people, there are some areas that are bad wish there were no criminals and no crime but because it is affordable and exciting here they can't afford to live other places and are not into the country .

3/5/2012I have to say that I feel that Orlando has been very affordable , I am from New England , Mass and Rhode Island, I Moved to South Florida stayed there for about 9 years, and have been in Orlando for a year, I would love to stay in Orlando or outskirts like Oviedo, There is soo much to do here . Even if you don't have much money,,Of course there is Way more to do if you have money. I have a seaworld pass for 18dollars a month for me and my daughter and now have a wet and wild year pass Paid one day and got the rest of the year free. Most parks offer deals like this for residents, I have never met as many friendly people as I do here, My only complaint is I am having trouble finding employment I think Its cause too many applicants and I may not have as much experience as others,,So if you have great employment references and work experience you may have better luck getting a job here. All in All I LOVE LIVING IN ORLANDO . Unfortunately I may have to move because of the job situation. Be aware there are some bad neighborhoods so make sure you do your research,,,Orlando is pretty big and the suburbs of Orlando Many are nice, Oviedo, Winter Park , Hunters creek, etc..
