Sacate Village, AZ is a small rural village located approximately 90 miles away from Phoenix. It boasts a population of 311 people in an area of 5.2 square miles, which makes it relatively densely populated with 60 people per square mile. As such, the town offers a wide variety of amenities and activities for residents and visitors alike.
The local businesses in Sacate Village include Paseo Fish N' Chip Restaurant which serves traditional American comfort food as well as seafood, Los Arcos Restaurant which serves Mexican cuisine, and Sacate Caffeine Shack that specializes in coffee products and snacks. The village also has its own municipal library and police station, offering basic services to the community.
When looking for outdoor activities in Sacate Village, there are plenty to choose from including hiking in nearby canyons or exploring the local desert terrain on ATV's or horseback rides. Families can take advantage of fishing at the Sacate River nearby or spend time camping together outside the village limits. There are also several organizations around town dedicated to enhancing life in the village such as FOCUS (Friends of Community Unity Services) which helps build relationships between citizens by hosting events such as movie nights or potlucks.
Rounding out this small rural community experience is the annual Sacate Fall Festival held every October where locals come together for music, food, games, and more! In addition to fun events like these throughout the year there are also youth sports teams in baseball and basketball that provide recreational outlets for kids to get involved and stay active.
