Year-round outdoor activities include hiking trails at Sweeney Pass and Goat Canyon Trestle, stargazing at Anza Borrego Desert State Park, mountian biking or four wheeling on Carrizo Badlands Overlook, bird watching at Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area or rock collecting at Superstition Mountain Museum. Sporting events in the area are limited but there are occasional pick-up soccer games at Coronado High School's football field which can be fun for all ages.
