Local attractions include Glastonbury's historic Town Hall building as well as hiking trails at Heublein Tower which offers breathtaking views of the city. There are also plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation such as fishing in some of the town's lakes and rivers or biking around Glastonbury’s scenic countryside. During the winter months one can enjoy skiing at Ski Sundown or snowmobiling through Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort.
Organizations such as The Riverfront Concert Series bring performances from many different genres to Glastonbury year round while clubs like The Arthur Murray Dance Center offer dance classes open to all ages and skill levels. The town also features a number of sporting events throughout the year from lowkey games like pickleball to professional sporting events such as baseball games hosted by The New Britain Bees at New Britain Stadium located just over 10 miles away from Glastonbury’s center.
