Mildred, KS is a small rural town located in the Southern part of the state with a population of 17 people. The population density is 25 people per square mile, which is much lower than the US population density of 93 people per square mile. There are several local businesses that serve the community such as Little Red Grocery Store, Rose's Bakery, and Smith Hardware Store. Residents have plenty of year-round outdoor activities to enjoy from hiking and camping at nearby parks to fishing at one of the many lakes in the area. Mildred also has a variety of organizations such as the local historical society, 4-H club, Lions Club, and church groups that help bring residents together for activities and events. The town is also home to many sports teams such as basketball, soccer, and baseball that host several tournaments throughout the year for both children and adults.
