Palmetto, LA is an attractive small town located in the Southeastern part of the state. With a population of 207 people, it offers a peaceful and laid back atmosphere to its residents. There are a variety of local businesses, including convenience stores, banks, restaurants, and pharmacies. Palmetto also offers plenty of year-round outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, kayaking, swimming, boating and mountain biking. Every summer the town hosts the annual Cajun Crawfish Festival which attracts thousands of visitors from throughout the region who come to enjoy traditional Cajun food and music performances. Additionally, Palmetto also plays host to several local sports teams such as Little League Baseball and soccer teams that compete against neighboring communities.
