Port Morris, NJ is a small community located just outside of the Bronx in New York City, with a population of 1,035. It is known for its large population density of 1,047 people per square mile, much higher than the US average of 93 people per square mile. There are a variety of businesses and organizations that call Port Morris home. The local business scene consists of a variety of shops such as clothing stores, restaurants, and services like hair salons and barbershops. There are also several community centers including the Port Morris Community Center which host a variety of events throughout the year such as art classes for kids, holiday celebrations, and concerts. Additionally, there are several outdoor activities to enjoy all-year round including walking trails at Randall’s Island Park as well as basketball courts and ball fields for local sports teams.
