Red River, NM is a small mountain town of 675 people located in the Rocky Mountains. It is known for its beautiful scenery and many outdoor activities that can be done year-round including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, horseback riding, and fishing. Red River has plenty of local businesses to check out while visiting such as The Bull O’ The Woods Saloon, Red River Brewery and Steak House, and the Rio Grande Outfitters. There are also many other organizations in town like the Red River Library and the Red River Historical Society that host events throughout the summer. Red River also holds many sporting events throughout the year like the Annual Red River Hootenanny Rockabilly Festival which features live music and a classic car show or the annual chili cook-off hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
