Alta, ND People

Alta, ND is a small town with a population of 66 people, located in the northeast corner of the state. It has an incredibly low population density of 3 people per square mile compared to the US average of 93 people per square mile. Despite being a small town, Alta offers plenty for its citizens and visitors alike. There are several locally owned businesses, such as Reiters Market, Anderson Accounting and Financial Services, and The Bull Moose Bar and Grill. Additionally, with its proximity to Lake Metigoshe State Park and other outdoor opportunities such as fishing, camping, swimming, boating, and hunting there is plenty of year-round fun to be had outdoors. Other organizations in town include Alta Baptist Church, Scouts BSA Troop #103 and the Alta Lions Club. For sports fans there is also an annual co-ed softball tournament held every year during the summertime. With so much to offer in a minute town Alta is definitely worth checking out!
