Dola, OH is a small rural town located in Northwest Ohio. It has a population of 150 and is surrounded by lush green farmland and beautiful rolling hills. The town boasts a population density of 172 people per square mile, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Local businesses in Dola include the Dola General Store which sells groceries, tobacco, household items, sporting goods, and much more. The town also hosts the annual Dola Fall Festival which celebrates local artisans and farmers. Visitors can find handmade jewelry, pottery, soap, honey, jams & jellies, fresh produce, and much more.
Outdoor activities year-round include fishing in the many nearby streams or lakes including Bixby Lake or hiking along a variety of trails such as Wildcat Hollow Trail or Hickory Run Trailhead at Grand Lake St Marys State Park. There are also several golf courses near the town where visitors can practice their swing on well-manicured greens.
Organizations in Dola include American Legion Post 463 which supports veterans and active service members through various events throughout the year such as bingo nights or car shows. Additionally there is the local 4H club which offers educational opportunities to kids ages 5 to 19 throughout the county area including Dola.
Local sporting events include high school football games during fall season when students from nearby schools including Kenton High School come to compete against each other on Friday nights under the lights. There are also basketball tournaments during winter months that provide great entertainment for locals as well as visitors alike.
