Tyrone, OK is a small city located in Texas County. The population of Tyrone is 1,048 with a population density of 1,795 people per square mile. Despite its size and lower population than the U.S. population, Tyrone is a vibrant town with plenty to offer for locals and visitors alike.
The city has a variety of local businesses ranging from restaurants to retail stores, such as the Tyrone Family Grocery Store and the Foxy’s Restaurant & Bar that serve delicious food to locals throughout the year. There are also many year-round outdoor activities available in Tyrone, such as camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking at nearby Oklahoma State Parks like Little Sahara State Park and Black Hawk State Park.
