Despite its small size, Owl Ranch has become known for its friendly atmosphere and welcoming people. Some popular local businesses include Smith's Grocery Store, the Owl Ranch BBQ joint, and Murphy's Hardware store.
The lovely climate in Owl Ranch makes it ideal for year-round outdoor activities like fishing, swimming, camping, hunting, and hiking. Local sporting events include annual rodeos at the nearby ranch as well as other rodeo themed events throughout the year. Every summer there is a wildflower festival which celebrates the area’s natural beauty with live music performances, demonstrations on how to make nature crafts from local plants and flowers, and many different vendors offering food and souvenirs for visitors to take home. On top of all this fun there are regular events such as holiday parades where locals dress up in costume and parade through the streets while enjoying traditional festivities throughout the year.
