Index, WA is a small town located in the northwest corner of the state, with a population of 156. The town has a population density of 1,039 people per square mile, making it far more rural than the average U.S. population density of 93 people per square mile. Local businesses include Index General Store, a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to enjoy home-style meals; Index Family Diner, serving breakfast all day; and PNW Outfitters, providing outdoor supplies and gear for fishing, camping, and rafting trips in the area.
