Black Earth Village, WI is a small village located in Dane County with a population of 1,720. The population density is 1,685 people per square mile. It is an ideal place to live, due to its close proximity to nature and being part of the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. Local businesses include the Village Emporium which features handmade items such as pottery and quilts, Willie’s Country Store which has all the necessities for day-to-day life, and Little Skillet Café which offers delicious food made with local ingredients. Year round outdoor activities include fishing on Black Earth Creek, hiking along nearby trails, or visiting one of the area’s many parks. There are also several local organizations like the Black Earth Historical Society and the Black Earth Lions Club that work hard to foster a sense of community in the area. Finally, local sporting events are held throughout the year at local schools including football games and track meets.
