Union, ND is a small rural community located in the northeastern part of the state. Despite its small size, Union is home to several local religious congregations of various faiths. There are two Lutheran churches in Union, one Catholic church, and one non-denominational Christian church. The Lutheran churches are St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church, both of which are members of the North Dakota District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The Catholic church is St. Michael's Catholic Parish and it is part of the Grand Forks Diocese. The non-denominational Christian church is Union Bible Fellowship and it has grown significantly since its founding in 2009, now hosting a variety of weekly services and activities for members. Each congregation provides an important source of spiritual guidance for members of the local community as well as opportunities for fellowship and service.
