Basalt is a small town in Colorado located in Eagle County. Although it has a population of only around 3,500 people, there are still many religious congregations in the area. There are several churches in Basalt including the Basalt Community United Methodist Church, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and First Baptist Church of Basalt. The Basalt Community United Methodist Church is located right on Main Street and welcomes members from several denominations. Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church offers Sunday school classes as well as traditional worship services. First Baptist Church of Basalt is a relatively new church formed just over 10 years ago and serves its community by hosting Bible study sessions and other events. All three of these churches provide an active spiritual environment for people of all backgrounds to come together to worship and grow their faith.
