Livermore, IA is a small town located in northern Iowa and although it has a population of around 1,200, it is home to several local religious congregations. There are four churches operating in the city including St. Mary's Catholic Church, North Congregational United Church of Christ, Trinity Lutheran Church, and Livermore United Methodist Church. Each church offers traditional worship services to its members as well as many other activities such as concerts, bible study groups, youth programs and outreach ministries. St. Mary's Catholic Church also offers mass on Sundays with additional masses held on Holy Days of Obligation. The pastor at North Congregational United Church of Christ frequently holds lectures and workshops for members of the congregation. The Trinity Lutheran Church holds an annual dinner theater event which features talented actors from the community performing skits that teach moral lessons. Lastly, Livermore United Methodist Church sponsors many different service projects throughout the year such as food drives or providing clothing for those in need. These churches all work together to create a strong sense of community and faith in the town of Livermore.
