Spring Gap, MD Religion

Spring Gap, MD is home to several churches of various denominations. Since the small rural community has a relatively small population its church congregations are small in size and attendance. There are two Lutheran churches, a Baptist church, a Methodist congregation, and a non-denominational Christian Church. These churches provide spiritual nourishment and fellowship for those living in Spring Gap. Many of the members have known each other all their lives making it more like an extended family than just another church service. The pastors often provide counseling services as well as pastoral care to people in need of special attention on an individual basis or by attending group settings such as Alcoholics Anonymous meetings or other support groups that may take place at the various churches.
