Essex CDP, MA Religion

Essex CDP, MA is home to a number of local religious congregations. The most prominent of these are the First Congregational Church of Essex, the Union Congregational Church, and the Center Congregational Church. All three churches are part of the United Church of Christ and were founded in the late 18th and early 19th centuries as agricultural communities began to form in what is now Essex CDP. Each church serves its community through ministries that focus on social justice, outreach to youth, music programs, support for those in need, and opportunities for people of all ages to engage in worship. In addition, each church works with their local community partners to serve those facing economic instability or personal crises. Together they provide an essential service to Essex CDP's residents by providing a place for spiritual growth and connection with one another.
