Peru, Massachusetts is a small town located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. In the town there are a number of religious congregations that serve the local community. Among them are churches associated with various Protestant denominations, including Baptist, Episcopal, Presbyterian and Methodist. Additionally, there is an Evangelical Free Church and a Catholic church that serves both the Peru community as well as communities in neighboring towns. These churches provide weekly services for their members and often times offer additional programming to meet the needs of their members and guests. The churches also provide outreach into the wider community by hosting special events such as summer vacation Bible schools for kids or providing special meals during holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. The congregations in Peru work together to provide spiritual leadership within the town while also serving its greater social needs.
