Laurium, MI is a small town located in Houghton County in the extreme northern portion of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It has a population of around 1,000 people and is known for its rich history and mining operations that once flourished throughout the area. Despite being a small town, Laurium is home to several religious congregations which include Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist and United Church of Christ denominations.
