Sciota, MN is a small rural community located in southeastern Minnesota. Due to its size, there are not many religious congregations in the area. The most prominent of these is Church of St. Peter, a Roman Catholic church that was established in 1872 and serves as the spiritual home for many residents of Sciota and the surrounding area. Another popular church is Zion Lutheran Church, which was founded in 1873 and still holds regular services today. All denominations are welcomed at both churches, making them an important part of life in Sciota. Additionally, both churches offer outreach services to those in need and host numerous activities throughout the year for their members as well as those living nearby. Together they provide a necessary spiritual refuge for those living in this remote corner of Minnesota.
