Norwich, NY is a small city in Chenango County with a population of 7,660 people according to the 2018 US Census. Despite its small size, Norwich is home to numerous local religious congregations. These places of worship include the First Baptist Church of Norwich, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and the United Christian Church. The First Baptist Church of Norwich was founded in 1821 and offers traditional services as well as Sunday School classes for adults and children. St. Paul's Episcopal Church has been a part of the Norwich community since 1824 and provides weekly services as well as annual special events such as Easter egg hunts and Christmas pageants. Lastly, the United Christian Church has been active in Norwich since 1828 providing both traditional services and more contemporary meetings aimed at young adults.
