Tarning, ND is a small rural community with a population of just over 500 people. Despite its size, the town has several churches that serve as important religious and social centers in the area. The largest church in Torning is Hilltop Church of Christ, which was founded in 1952 and serves as a hub for local families and members of the community. Yokefellow Lutheran Church is also in Torning and offers traditional services as well as Sunday school programs for children. Other smaller congregations include the Harvest Assembly of God, Faith Baptist Church, Kingsway Fellowship, and St Mark's Episcopal Church.
