Cairo, Ohio is a small village located in Washington County. Though the population of Cairo is relatively small, there are a few local religious congregations that call Cairo their home. These congregations provide places for local residents to come together and practice their faith. St. John’s Lutheran Church is the oldest congregation in Cairo, established in 1856 by German immigrants who settled here. Another prominent church is the First Christian Church of Cairo, which was founded in 1883 and remains active today. The New Life Assembly of God, Christ Community Fellowship, and Faith Bible Fellowship are also part of the diverse faith community of Cairo. Each of these churches offers spiritual guidance and fellowship for members of the community. There are also many other nondenominational churches in town that offer services specifically tailored to meet the needs of their memberships. All these churches share a common goal - to bring people closer to God and create a strong sense of community within Cairo's borders.
