Narragansett, Rhode Island is home to several religious congregations that are part of the local community. These churches come in a variety of denominations and sizes, from small chapels to large sanctuaries. The oldest of these congregations is the Narragansett Congregational Church which has been in existence since 1677 and still holds weekly services. Additionally, there is the St. Mark's Episcopal Church which was originally founded in 1733 as an Anglican church by loyalists who had fled from persecution during the American Revolution and have remained a staple of Narragansett ever since. Other churches include Calvary Baptist Church, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ocean Community Chapel, Trinity LutheranChurch and East Shore Christian Fellowship. Each church offers something unique to its members and provides spiritual guidance and support to those in need.
