Atlas, Michigan is a small rural town located in the heart of Jackson County. While it is sparsely populated, there are still several local religious congregations that serve the community. Among these are St. John's Lutheran Church, which is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and has been around since 1876; Faith Tabernacle United Methodist Church, which was established in 1884 and operates out of a historic building; and The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, which was built in 2006 to meet the needs of this growing area. All three churches have active memberships who provide spiritual guidance and support to their neighbors in Atlas, MI. Each church provides its own unique set of services and programs for their congregation as well as those from outside the community.
