The schools in Winnetka, IL offer a variety of educational opportunities for their students. The town is well known for its excellent school system, which has consistently earned high ratings from independent organizations. At the elementary level students attend one of 10 different elementary schools, four of which are public and six private. At the middle school level there are five different options available to choose from including three public and two private institutions. Finally, Winnetka's New Trier Township High School is consistently ranked as one of the best in the state.
