Shonto, AZ Schools

Shonto, AZ is a small rural community located in the northeast corner of Arizona. The schools in Shonto are part of the Kayenta Unified School District, which serves the area. There are two public schools that serve students from kindergarten through high school: Shonto Preparatory Academy and Shonto Community High School. Both schools have good ratings from educational agencies and offer a wide range of educational opportunities for their students. At Shonto Preparatory Academy, there is an emphasis on preparing students for college with a rigorous curriculum while also providing resources to support them throughout their academic journey. Students at Shonto Community High School can also take advantage of excellent educational opportunities, including advanced placement classes as well as extracurricular activities such as athletics, robotics clubs, drama groups, and music ensembles.
