3/5/2012parentMy son just started kindergarten this year and has Mrs. Hestad. It has been a wonderful experience! He loves going to school everyday and we could not be more happy with his academic progress.
2/26/2012parentWe have had a great experience at Eastvalley. Teachers have been fantastic! If we could get rid of the trailers and improve the outside appearance of EV, the school would be perfect! We love the neighborhood feel. It's time for EV to get some attention from the district instead of some nearby schools like Sope Creek. We deserve improvements too!
10/30/2011parentMy son was in the special needs Autism /ABA class for two years. I felt the program was pathetically below standard - the structure, teachers, the environment. There was always an excuse to avoid doing anything - on the face of it he didnt need any services yet he was a student 'who didnt show' them he could do anything, it seems! Count our blessings that we have moved away from there!!!
5/25/2011parentMy daughter attended this school from 2nd grade and is in 4th grade now, Ms. Kraeger s class. She is GREAT!! She is an excellent educator and guide. She has a genuine interest in her students and help them to excel in all fields to maximize the learning experience. Our experience has been very very positive. We have had excellent teachers and there are plenty of enrichment programs and opportunities for growth. This little school with a big heart will remain close to our heart!!
3/27/2010parentI have three children who currently attend Eastvalley, a fourth grader, second grader and special needs pre-k student. I love this school! I believe it is the best kept secret in Cobb county. I agree that it is a little school with a big heart! We have had excellent teachers and there are plenty of after school enrichment programs and opportunities for growth. They provide a very welcoming environment.
3/18/2010parentMy son is in kindergarten, Ms. Magee is his teacher. Awesome is a mild adjective, she has a genuine interest in her students. I have found her to be creative recognizing the unique abilties of each student and tayloring her approach per student to maximize the learning experience. Our experience has been very positive.
2/2/2010parentMy son is in kindergarten and has Mrs. Fortune. She is amazing. My son is very active so I was worried at the beginning of the year how that was going to go. My son is thriving, learning so much, and having fun while doing it. The principal, Mrs. Wacker is not just visible, she's accessible. Any parent in this school's zone who might be considering private school should give Eastvalley a try before they make a huge decision like that. I am very, very pleased on all fronts with Eastvalley.
9/16/2009parentIt is a little school with a big heart!!
7/26/2008parentEastvalley is a wonderful place to send your students. They have high quality teachers who work hard to meet the needs of each individual child! It is a priviledge to send your child here!
6/24/2008parentI can't say enough good things about Eastvalley. The teachers are there to teach and inspire the students. They love what they do and it shows! The school is small and able to work with students individually so they can learn in their own style. All three of my children have done outstanding there.
1/16/2008parent There should be more educators out there like Mrs. Fortune and Mrs. Winslett. Teachers who recognize when a student is in trouble and needs help. My son was a child who needed additional help and these 2 teachers were there to support him and our family, they were our only support. My son is now at a private school and thriving! Straight A s! I now understand what giving your child a good education is all about.
8/9/2007parentI am a parent of an Eastvalley student, and we have been very happy with Eastvalley. Both of our children attended and our daughter is still a student there. Our daughter's 4th grade teacher (Ms Smith)was wonderful, very hands on and kept us informed of our daughter's progress and encouraged parent involvement. Overall we have been very pleased with Eastvalley in every area.
6/1/2007parentEastvalley Elementary was one of the best academic choices we've made. It provided a warm, nurturing, yet educationally sound environment for our daughter. The principal, teachers, administrators, and parents were all top notch! Our daughter is now going on to middle school, and while we will miss Eastvalley; the learnings and wisdom she will take with her are invaluable!
8/15/2006teacherThis is a wonderful school. All of the teachers are caring and hard working. Diversity is a plus and is embraced here. Great job, Eastvalley!
9/3/2005parentThis is a wonderful school. They are very caring and the teachers are GREAT! This school really cares about their kids!
3/23/2005former studentThis is a great school! They provide great after school activities for the children with people the children really like. Activities include art, spanish, bingo, outside play, and etc. They have great teachers! I went there from 1st-5th grade and they helped me to be the kind and smart person I am today. They helped me choose what I really like, science. Today, I am in ninth grade, honor roll, and in a great science program for freshmen. I can honestly say I wouldn't have made it without them!
8/12/2004parentThis has to be the best elementary school in Cobb County! The teachers and staff create such a wonderful atmosphere for students. Our child especially enjoyed having Ms. Ely as a second grade teacher.
