Albany, Illinois is a small town in Lee County, where the local schools are top-notch. The school district includes four schools: Albany Elementary School, Albany Middle School, Albany High School and St. James Catholic School. All of these schools have great ratings in the state of Illinois and strive to provide students with an excellent educational experience. The district is also proud of its commitment to student achievement and success through providing quality instruction that meets the needs of all learners. Albany Elementary School offers a strong curriculum in reading, math, science and social studies while also incorporating art, music and technology into the program. At Albany Middle School, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of extra-curricular activities such as athletics and clubs while continuing to focus on academics. At Albany High School, students take challenging classes in order to prepare for college or a career upon graduation. St. James Catholic School provides a faith-based education in addition to core academic courses. Each school creates an atmosphere of support and respect for all members of the community that encourages students to reach their goals both inside and outside the classroom environment.
