Brighton, Iowa is a small town with a population of around 700 located in Washington County. Despite its size, Brighton is home to three excellent schools; Brighton Elementary School, Mid-Prairie Middle School and Mid-Prairie High School. All three of the schools have been rated very highly by the state and have been praised for having an outstanding faculty and staff that make learning fun and engaging. The elementary school has earned many awards for their reading program while the middle and high school boast a wide variety of athletic opportunities (including Cross Country, Football, Basketball, Track & Field) as well as an impressive selection of clubs and activities to choose from.
