Summit, Oregon is a small rural community with a population of just over 1,000 people. Despite its size, the town has an excellent school system. There are two public schools in Summit – Summit Elementary School and Summit High School. Both of these schools have earned high ratings from the state's education board for their academic excellence and focus on student success. The teachers and staff work hard to ensure that all students are receiving a quality education and have access to a range of extra-curricular activities such as sports, music and art programs. The small community atmosphere also allows for close relationships between students and teachers, helping to foster a safe learning environment. In fact, many students end up staying in Summit after graduation due to the strong sense of community and the personal connections they make during their time attending the local schools.
