Triumph, IL is a small village located in the rural western part of Illinois. The population of Triumph is just over 200 people. Despite its size, Triumph is well-connected to other communities in the region and has a number of transportation options available for residents and visitors alike.
The village is served by several public buses operated by the Illinois Valley Transit District which provide access to nearby towns and cities, including Oglesby and Peru. Additionally, Amtrak's Illini line runs through Triumph with stops at both Oglesby and La Salle Metra station. For those looking to travel on a budget, Greyhound Bus Lines offers daily service to Chicago with special discounted rates for students and seniors.
For those that prefer their own vehicle, Triumph boasts a modern highway system connecting it to many communities in the area. Interstate 80 connects Triumph directly to Chicago in just under three hours while U.S Route 6 serves as an alternate route that passes through nearby Ottawa before heading east towards Chicago or west towards Iowa City and Des Moines. Lastly, drivers can also use State Route 18 which passes through nearby Utica before reconnecting with I-80 near Mendota, IL.
Overall, Triumph may be small but it’s well connected and provides its residents with numerous transportation options whether they are looking for a quick trip into town or an extended journey out of the state.
