Zephyr Cove, NV is a small community nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the east side of Lake Tahoe. Despite its size, the community offers a few transportation options for residents and visitors. Public bus service is available through Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) which operates eight routes connecting the Lake Tahoe area with South Lake Tahoe, Stateline, Carson City, and Reno. Zephyr Cove is part of TART's South Shore route which runs seven days a week throughout the peak season between May and October. For those who prefer to drive themselves around town, there are several taxi services that can be used for local trips. Additionally, there are several car rental companies in South Lake Tahoe which offer vehicles for rent. Finally, for visitors arriving by plane, there is an airport located in Minden/Tahoe just north of Zephyr Cove that provides flights to Los Angeles International Airport as well as other cities within California and Nevada.
