Hough, OK Commuting

Hough, Oklahoma is a small rural town located in Choctaw County. It has an estimated population of just under 1,400 people. Despite its small size, Hough offers several transportation options for both local residents and visitors. Public transportation is available through the Hugo Area Mass Transit (HAMT) system which provides bus service from Hugo to Antlers four days a week. HAMT also connects with the Indian Nation Express, allowing commuters to connect with destinations further afield. For those who prefer to drive themselves, Hough is conveniently located near US-271 Highway and sits just north of the intersection of State Highways 2 and 9. Although there are no airports or train stations in or near Hough, it is only an hour away from the nearest airport in Durant or two hours away from Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. Regardless of one’s mode of choice, Hough makes for a convenient access point for those looking to explore more of the region.
