The University of Virginia provides a variety of transportation options for its students, faculty and staff. The University operates the Hoos Route, a free shuttle service that transports people around campus, as well as to nearby areas such as the Corner and Barracks Road Shopping Center. Therefore, those traveling from downtown Charlottesville must transfer at one of two designated locations between the Universities grounds and downtown Charlottesville.
