Lee, GA County is home to numerous public transportation options for its residents. The cities of Leesburg, Albany and Americus provide a number of transportation services. Public transportation includes buses, trains, trolleys and vans. The Lee County Transit System (LCTS) provides regional bus service throughout the county with routes connecting cities to each other as well as providing access to larger cities such as Columbus and Macon. Greyhound Lines also provides intercity bus service between Leesburg and Albany. Additionally, there are two Amtrak train stations in the county: Albany's Amtrak station in downtown Albany and Deansville station near Smithville. These Amtrak stations offer daily trips from Atlanta to Savannah. Finally, Leesburg has a trolley system that operates on weekends only offering rides from downtown Leesburg to nearby attractions such as Chehaw Park and the Moultrie Trade Center. All of these forms of public transportation allow residents of Lee County to travel safely and conveniently within and outside the county.
