Golden Valley, ND County is a rural community located in the western part of North Dakota. Despite its rural nature, public transportation options are available in the area to help residents get around. The county has two main public transportation providers - Golden Valley Public Transportation (GVPT) and the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT). GVPT operates buses throughout the county, providing scheduled routes and door-to-door services for areas where public transit isn’t otherwise available. NDDOT provides bus services in larger cities within the county, such as Williston and Watford City, allowing residents of those cities to access services in other parts of North Dakota without having to drive long distances. Additionally, Golden Valley Public Transit also offers free shuttles between towns within their service area.
